We love ourselves too often and need reach out much more often. It is a social responsibility and it effects the environment also.
Barack Obama @BarackObama · 49m I was encouraged this week to see the leaders of the frontier labs agree on the need for them to slow down the pace of AI development. Given the stakes, it’s a good and necessary first step. But I’m even more encouraged by the growing recognition that how this powerful new technology develops should be at the center of our public debate. I’ve been watching the progress on AI for over a decade now, and one thing that’s clear to me is that the potential impact of this technology is not overhyped. It’s also moving at lightning speed – and even faster than those who are engineering it can keep up with. I’m not an AI accelerationist who believes it will lead to some techno-utopia, and I’m not a doomer who thinks it will inevitably lead to humanity’s destruction. But whether this technology results in amazing breakthroughs in medicine, energy and education or unleashes huge economic disruptions, greater inequality, and potential catastrophe will depend on the choices that we make right now – choices that should be made not just by the companies involved, but by all of us.
American Alpha @AmericanAlphaX · 9h Hillary lost and The Clinton Foundation is in free fall. Biden lost and he can't get money to build his library. USAID was shut down and the DNC had to mortgage their HQ for money. The SPLC was indicted and the magically riots stopped. ACT BLUE is under investigation and all of a sudden Democrat have to create an alliance with Islamic communist for funding. Yup, no pattern here at all.
This edition of JBS Daily News from September 14, 2026, anchored by Teisha Bader, covers several significant topics concerning the Jewish community and recent events: 9/11 Memorial: The program reflects on the 25th anniversary of the September 11, 2001, terror attacks (0:13-1:02). Jewish organizations, including the American Jewish Committee, participated in memorial services, such as one at St. Nicholas Church in New York City, to honor victims and reaffirm a commitment to peaceful, democratic societies. J50 Declaration: A new declaration on Zionism and antisemitism was released, which was adopted by Jewish leaders during the J50 forum in Jerusalem (1:03-2:11). The declaration asserts Zionism as a core expression of Jewish self-determination and criticizes the use of anti-Zionism to marginalize Jewish communities. New Institute at Emory: Ambassador Deborah Lipstadt has established the Emory Policy Institute on Countering Antisemitism (EPICA) at Emory University (2:12-2:58). The institute aims to conduct research and prepare future leaders to combat antisemitism as a defense of democracy. 🚨BREAKING: The Trump Administration has invoked the long-unenforced Immigration Act of 1882 to prohibit entry into the United States of “any convict, lunatic, idiot, or any person unable to take care of himself or herself without becoming a public charge.” Ultimately, this will allow the Trump Administration to deny green cards to immigrants who are likely to use federal welfare, food stamps, or Medicaid, and to revoke the green cards of immigrants who are currently using these programs. The new rule is set to take effect Friday, September 18. As a result, 5.6 million immigrants are expected to lose access to those benefits, and American taxpayers are expected to save $13 billion per year.
Brigitte Gabriel @ACTBrigitte · 2h 🚨 SECURITY BREACH🚨 Saddam’s intel officer was living in Michigan. Raad Alanbagi was detained yesterday by Federal agents. If we cannot catch a man from the Mukhabarat before he settles here, we are not vetting. We are guessing. Vet them. Watch who is already here. Remove the ones who lied. A country that will not screen its guests will not stay a country.
74,116 views Sep 8, 2026 The United Kingdom - a nation that once stood as one of history's great defenders of freedom and fought the Nazis when Jewish lives were on the line - is planned to announce trade sanctions against the world's only Jewish state. We are deeply troubled by this decision. Sanctions on Israel do not advance peace. They reward extremism, harm Palestinian workers who depend on cross-border employment, and send a dangerous signal that economic pressure on democracies under attack is acceptable. President Herzog said it plainly: this is a grave miscalculation that will fall on the wrong side of history. We agree. Israel is Britain's ally. Israeli intelligence saves British lives. And the Jewish people have known what boycotts lead to - they do not forget, and neither should Britain.
Israel and the United States are pushing back against Britain's planned trade restrictions on goods made in Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank. Israeli President Isaac Herzog called the move a "grave miscalculation" and "gross interference," while the U.S. ambassador to Israel warned that the British action would bring consequences.
