What is reason?
It is not bias or opinion, it is taking big thoughts on real issues and turning and twisting them around and making logical sense of something. It is the ability to think critically beyond emotions and feeling and it is essential for survival and the survival of humanity perhaps. If we are a race of stupid people then we might be fated for disaster in the future. Calm and reflective people can get solutions and put their ego aside. We need these abilities. In fact I think they are crucial.
Ignorance and prejudice stink anyway.
